Google Desktop 2发布了15种语言的测试版，包括了简体和繁体中文。

同时Google Desktop 2也增加了一个“快速查找” 的功能，可以在侧栏快速访问常用的网页和文件，并可以Bookmark，非常方便。另外，伴随着Google Desktop 2中文版的推出，Google也作了不少本地化的功课：默认新闻源为Google News中文版，还自动内置了QQ聊天纪录的搜索。不过天气预报和热门内容还没有增添本地化支持。

从Google Desktop 2的发布开始，它再也不是一个纯粹的桌面搜索工具了。它迅速占领我们桌面上的各种网络应用，比MSN Toolbar Suite还要迫不及待。

我现在用的也是这个版本，只是觉得占用资源太多了点...
